Mishkat al-Masabih 179
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّكُم فِي زمَان تَرَكَ مِنْكُمْ عُشْرَ مَا أُمِرَ بِهِ هَلَكَ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي زَمَانٌ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْهُمْ بِعُشْرِ مَا أَمر بِهِ نجا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Translation
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of God said: ‘You are living in a time when whoever among you abandons a tenth of what he has been commanded will perish. Then a time will come when whoever among them acts upon a tenth of what he has been commanded will be saved.’ Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it.
