Mishkat al-Masabih 4132
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أُحِلَّتْ لَنَا مَيْتَتَانِ وَدَمَانِ: الْمَيْتَتَانِ: الْحُوتُ وَالْجَرَادُ وَالدَّمَانِ: الْكَبِدُ وَالطِّحَالُ ". رَوَاهُ أحمدُ وابنُ مَاجَه وَالدَّارَقُطْنِيّ
Translation
Ibn ʿUmar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Two kinds of carrion and two kinds of blood have been made lawful for us: the two carrion are fish and locusts, and the two bloods are the liver and spleen.’ Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and al-Daraqutni transmitted it.
