Making a Marriage publicly known, asking Woman in Marriage, and the Condition laid down - Section 2
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كُلُّ أَمْرٍ ذِي بَالٍ لَا يُبْدَأُ فِيهِ بِالْحَمْدِ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ أَقْطَعُ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ
Translation
He reported God's Messenger as saying, "Every important matter which is not begun by an expression of praise to God is maimed.” Ibn Majah transmitted it.
