Al-Hasan reported that Umar ibn al-Khattab gathered the people to pray behind Ubayy ibn Ka’b. He led them for twenty nights and performed qunut with them only in the latter half. When the last ten nights came, he stayed away and prayed at home. They would say: Ubayy has fled. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
