وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يَدَعُهَا وَيَدَعُهَا حَتَّى نَقُولَ: لَا يُصليهَا. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Abu Said said: The Messenger of God would pray the forenoon prayer so often that we thought he would never stop. Then he would leave it for so long that we thought he would never pray it again. Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it.
