Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of God said: We are the last, yet the foremost, on the Day of Resurrection. Others were given the Scripture before us, and it was given to us after them. This was their day that had been prescribed for them—that is, Friday—but they disagreed about it, and God guided us to it. The people follow us in this matter: the Jews observe the next day, and the Christians the day after. In a report from Muslim he said: We are the last yet the first on the Day of Resurrection, and we will be the first to enter Paradise, although ... He related a similar report to the end. In another report from Muslim, Abu Huraira and Hudhayfa reported that the Messenger of God said at its end: We are the last of the people of this world and the first on the Day of Resurrection, whose judgment is settled before all creatures.
