Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Abd al-Rahman ibn Samura said: During the lifetime of the Messenger of God, I was shooting arrows of mine in Medina when the sun was eclipsed. I put them down and said: By God, I will see what the Messenger of God does during the eclipse. I came to him while he was standing in prayer with his hands raised. He began glorifying God, declaring His oneness, proclaiming His greatness, praising Him, and supplicating until the sun was uncovered. When it was uncovered, he recited two surahs and prayed two rakahs.

Muslim transmitted it in his Sahih from Abd al-Rahman ibn Samura. It is likewise reported from him in Sharh al-Sunna, while copies of al-Masabih attribute it to Jabir ibn Samura.
