وَعَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا مِنَ النُّغَاشِينَ فَخَرَّ ساجا. رَوَاهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ مُرْسَلًا وَفِي شَرْحِ السُّنَّةِ لَفْظُ المصابيح

Abu Jafar reported: The Prophet saw a man from the Nughashin and fell prostrate.
Al-Daraqutni transmitted it in mursal form. In Sharh al-Sunna, the wording is that of al-Masabih.

The English witness identifies him as a dwarf, while the Arabic names a group or category, al-Nughashin; the precise meaning is uncertain.
Does al-Nughashin here specifically mean a dwarf, or should the group designation be preserved?
