Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Were it not for the women and children in the houses, I would have had the evening prayer performed in congregation and ordered my young men to burn what is in the houses with fire.” Ahmad transmitted it.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic directly says that he would establish the ʿisha prayer and order his young men to burn what was in the houses. The severe threat is preserved as stated.
