Ibn Abbas said: He slept at the house of the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet awoke, cleaned his teeth with a toothstick, and performed ablution while reciting: Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth … He continued to the end of the surah. Then he stood and prayed two rakahs, making the standing, bowing, and prostration lengthy. Then he finished, lay down, and slept until he snored. He did this three times, six rakahs in all. Each time he cleaned his teeth, performed ablution, and recited these verses. Then he prayed witr with three rakahs. Muslim transmitted it.
