Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As reported that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever stands in prayer reciting ten verses will not be recorded among the heedless. Whoever stands in prayer reciting one hundred verses will be recorded among the devout. Whoever stands in prayer reciting one thousand verses will be recorded among those abundantly rewarded. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
