Ubadah ibn al-Samit reported that the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever wakes during the night and says, There is no god but God alone, with no partner. To Him belongs the dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things. Glory be to God, praise be to God, there is no god but God, God is most great, and there is no power or strength except through God; then says, My Lord, forgive me, or, Then he supplicates, his prayer will be answered. If he performs ablution and prays, his prayer will be accepted. Al-Bukhari transmitted it.
