Arabic hadith text
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي بَكْرِ بْنِ لَيْثٍ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَقَرَّ أَنَّهُ زَنَى بِامْرَأَةٍ أَرْبَعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَجَلَدَهُ مِائَةً وَكَانَ بِكْرًا ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ الْبَيِّنَةَ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ فَقَالَتْ: كَذَبَ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَجُلِدَ حَدَّ الْفِرْيَةِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
Ibn Abbas reported: A man from Banu Bakr ibn Layth came to the Prophet and confessed four times that he had committed adultery with a woman. The Prophet flogged him one hundred lashes; he was unmarried. Then he asked him for evidence against the woman. She said, By God, you lie, Messenger of God. So she was given the prescribed punishment for slander. Abu Dawud transmitted it.
