Mishkat al-Masabih 424
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ: «هَذَا وُضُوئِي وَوُضُوءُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ قَبْلِي وَوُضُوءُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ» . رَوَاهُمَا رَزِينٌ وَالنَّوَوِيُّ ضَعَّفَ الثَّانِي فِي شرح مُسلم
Translation
ʿUthmān said: ‘The Messenger of Allah performed ablution, washing each part three times, then said: “This is my ablution, the ablution of the prophets before me, and the ablution of Ibrāhīm.”’
Rāzīn transmitted these two reports. Al-Nawawī declared the second weak in his commentary on Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim.
