Mishkat al-Masabih 428
Arabic hadith text
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُطَهِّرُ جَسَدَهُ كُلَّهُ وَمَنْ تَوَضَّأَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ الله لم يطهر إِلَّا مَوضِع الْوضُوء»
Translation
Abū Hurayra, Ibn Masʿūd, and Ibn ʿUmar reported that the Prophet said: ‘Whoever performs ablution and mentions Allah’s name thereby purifies his whole body. Whoever performs ablution without mentioning Allah’s name purifies only the parts reached by ablution.’
