عَن ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ اغْتَسَلَ بَعْضُ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جَفْنَةٍ فَأَرَادَ رَسُول الله صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم إِن يَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ جُنُبًا فَقَالَ «إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لَا يُجْنِبُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ. وَرَوَى الدَّارمِيّ نَحوه
Translation
Ibn ʿAbbās reported that one of the Prophet’s wives bathed in a large vessel. The Messenger of Allah then wished to perform ablution from it, and she said: ‘Messenger of Allah, I was in a state of sexual impurity.’ He replied: ‘Water does not become sexually impure.’ Al-Tirmidhī, Abū Dāwūd, and Ibn Mājah transmitted it; al-Dārimī transmitted a similar report.
