وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: كَانَتِ الْكِلَابُ تُقْبِلُ وَتُدْبِرُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يَكُونُوا يَرُشُّونَ شَيْئا من ذَلِك. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ

Translation

Ibn ʿUmar said: ‘Dogs used to come and go in the mosque during the time of the Messenger of Allah, and they did not sprinkle water anywhere because of it.’ Al-Bukhārī transmitted it.
