Mishkat al-Masabih 2389
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ» . وَإِذَا أَمْسَى قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَابْن مَاجَه
Abu Hurayrah reported that when morning came, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would say, “O Allah, by You we have entered the morning and by You we have entered the evening; by You we live and by You we die, and to You is our return.” When evening came, he would say, “O Allah, by You we have entered the evening and by You we have entered the morning; by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.” Reported by al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah. The hadith was not studied by al-Albani.
