Abu Hurayrah reported that Abu Bakr said: I asked, “O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to say in the morning and evening.” He said, “Say: ‘O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, Originator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I testify that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil within myself, and from the evil of Satan and his association of others with You.’ Say it in the morning and evening and when you go to bed.” Reported by al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and al-Darimi. The hadith was not studied by al-Albani.
