Abu Malik reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “When one of you enters the morning, let him say, ‘We have entered the morning, and sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of all worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day—its opening, its victory, its light, its blessing, and its guidance—and I seek refuge in You from the evil within it and the evil that follows it.’ Then, when evening comes, let him say the like of that.” Reported by Abu Dawud. The hadith was not studied by al-Albani.
