Ibn ‘Umar reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from a military expedition, Hajj, or ‘Umrah, he would say “Allahu akbar” three times upon every high point of land, then say: “There is no god but Allah alone, without partner. To Him belong sovereignty and praise, and He has power over all things. We are returning, repenting, worshipping, prostrating, and praising our Lord. Allah has fulfilled His promise, supported His servant, and defeated the confederates alone.” Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim; graded agreed upon by al-Albani.
