Translation

‘Abd Allah ibn Busr reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed at my father’s home, and we brought him food in a dish. He ate from it, then dates were brought, and he ate them, dropping the pits between his fingers while holding his index and middle fingers together. In another narration, he dropped the pits onto the backs of his index and middle fingers. Then a drink was brought, and he drank. My father took hold of the bridle of his riding animal and said, “Supplicate to Allah for us.” He said, “O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.” Reported by Muslim. Graded Sahih by al-Albani.
