Translation

Ibn ‘Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would rarely rise from a gathering without supplicating for his companions with these words: “O Allah, grant us enough fear of You to keep us from disobeying You, enough obedience to You to bring us to Your Paradise, and enough certainty to make the calamities of this world easy for us. Let us enjoy our hearing, sight, and strength for as long as You keep us alive, and make them last for us until the end of our lives. Make our retaliation fall only upon those who wrong us, grant us victory over those who are hostile to us, do not make our calamity concern our religion, do not make this world our greatest worry or the limit of our knowledge, and do not empower over us anyone who will show us no mercy.” Al-Tirmidhi reported it and said, “This is a hasan gharīb hadith.” The hadith was not studied by al-Albani.
