Translation

Anas (may God be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of God (peace be upon him) said: ‘Let each of you ask his Lord for all his needs, even the sandal strap if it breaks.’ A mursal version from Thabit al-Bunani adds: ‘Even salt, and the strap of his sandal when it breaks.’ Al-Tirmidhi transmitted it. The Arabic source grades it hasan twice (al-Albani).
