Characteristics of the Day of Judgment, Paradise, and Hell

From Sahih Muslim, Hadith 2800a: The testimony mentioned refers to bearing witness to the Oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him), which is the foundation of faith and the key to Paradise.

The classical scholars explain that this testimony encompasses both verbal declaration and practical implementation through obedience to Allah's commands and avoidance of His prohibitions.

Ibn Kathir comments that this testimony requires complete submission to Allah's will and following the Sunnah of the Prophet in all matters of belief and practice.

Al-Qurtubi adds that true testimony necessitates sincerity (ikhlas), certainty (yaqin), and truthfulness (sidq) in both heart and action, without which the testimony remains incomplete.
