Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بَرَّادٍ الأَشْعَرِيُّ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، قَالَ وُلِدَ لِي غُلاَمٌ فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمَّاهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَحَنَّكَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ .
Translation
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shayba, Abd Allah ibn Barrad al-Ashari, and Abu Kurayb narrated to us. They said: Abu Usama narrated to us from Burayd, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said: A boy was born to me, and I brought him to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He named him Ibrahim and rubbed a date on his palate.
