Translation

Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shayba narrated to us: Abd Allah ibn Numayr narrated to us: Hisham, meaning Ibn Urwa, narrated to us from his father, from Aisha, that children used to be brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would pray for blessings upon them and rub a date on their palates.
