حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا وَكَانَ لِي أَخٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو عُمَيْرٍ - قَالَ أَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ - كَانَ فَطِيمًا - قَالَ - فَكَانَ إِذَا جَاءَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَرَآهُ قَالَ " أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ " . قَالَ فَكَانَ يَلْعَبُ بِهِ .
Abu al-Rabi, Sulayman ibn Dawud al-Ataki, narrated to us: Abd al-Warith narrated to us: Abu al-Tayyah narrated to us: Anas ibn Malik narrated to us. H; Shayban ibn Farrukh narrated to us—the wording is his: Abd al-Warith narrated to us from Abu al-Tayyah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had the best character of all people. I had a brother called Abu Umayr—I think he said he had been weaned. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came and saw him, he would say: “Abu Umayr, what happened to the nughayr?” He used to play with it.
