The angels invoke blessings on everyone among you so long as he is in a place of worship with these words: O Allah! pardon him, O Allah, have mercy upon him, (and they continue to do so) as long as, he ablution (of the worshipper) is not broken, and one among you is in prayer and so long as he is detained for the prayer.

Commentary on the Hadith
This noble hadith from Sahih Muslim reveals the immense virtue of remaining in the mosque with purity and devotion. The angels continuously seek forgiveness and mercy for the believer who maintains their ablution while waiting for prayer in the mosque.
The scholars explain that "detained for the prayer" refers to one who remains in the mosque awaiting the next congregational prayer. This demonstrates that the reward is not limited to the prayer itself, but extends to the time spent in pious anticipation.
The condition of maintaining ablution indicates the importance of ritual purity in attracting divine blessings. The continuous supplication of angels shows the elevated status of those who frequent mosques with pure intentions and prepared hearts.
This hadith encourages Muslims to spend time in mosques beyond obligatory prayers, to maintain wudu consistently, and to recognize that every moment spent in devotion and preparation for worship is itself an act of worship rewarded by Allah through His angels.
