Sahih Muslim 542

Muhammad ibn Salama al-Muradi reported to us: Abdullah ibn Wahb reported to us, from Muawiya ibn Salih, who said: Rabi'a ibn Yazid reported to me, from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, from Abu al-Darda, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood, and we heard him say, 'I seek refuge in Allah from you.' Then he said, 'I curse you with Allah's curse,' three times. He stretched out his hand as though reaching for something. When he finished the prayer, we said, 'Messenger of Allah, we heard you say something during prayer that we had never heard you say before, and we saw you stretch out your hand.' He said, 'Allah's enemy, Iblis, came with a flame of fire to put it in my face, so I said three times, “I seek refuge in Allah from you.” Then I said, “I curse you with Allah's complete curse,” three times, but he did not retreat. Then I wanted to seize him. By Allah, were it not for the supplication of our brother Sulayman, he would have been bound, for the children of the people of Medina to play with.'
