Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah, Abu Kurayb, and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim narrated to us—this is Ibn Abi Shaybah's wording. Ishaq said, Abu Usamah informed us; the other two said, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Kathir, from Mabd ibn Kab ibn Malik, from Abu Qatadah al-Ansari, who heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Beware of swearing oaths frequently when selling, for it may help sell a commodity, then erase its blessing.'
