I have prepared for My pious servants which the eye has seen not, and the ear has heard not and no human heart has ever perceived such bounties leaving aside those about which Allah has informed you. He then recited:" No soul knows what comfort has been hidden for thein".
The Book of Paradise, its Description, its Bounties and its Inhabitants
Sahih Muslim 2824 c
Divine Promise of Unimaginable Bounties
This sacred tradition reveals that Allah has prepared for His righteous servants rewards in Paradise that transcend all human comprehension and sensory perception. The bounties are so magnificent that no eye has witnessed their likeness, no ear has heard of their splendor, and no human heart has ever conceived of their grandeur.
Transcendent Nature of Heavenly Rewards
The phrase "leaving aside those about which Allah has informed you" indicates that even the descriptions of Paradise revealed in the Quran and Sunnah represent only what is comprehensible to human intellect. The actual reality surpasses all revealed descriptions, as confirmed by the Quranic verse: "No soul knows what comfort has been hidden for them" (32:17).
Scholarly Commentary
This hadith emphasizes the infinite generosity of Allah and the incomparable nature of divine reward. It teaches that the human mind, limited by worldly experience, cannot fully grasp the delights of the Hereafter. The pious should therefore strive with certainty, knowing that their efforts will be rewarded beyond all imagination and calculation.
