Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ، مَرْثَدٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدَشِيرِ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَبَغَ يَدَهُ فِي لَحْمِ خِنْزِيرٍ وَدَمِهِ " .
Translation
Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqama ibn Marthad, from Sulayman ibn Burayda, from his father, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever plays nardashir is like one who dyes his hand with the flesh and blood of a pig.
