The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday; on it Adam was created. on it he was made to enter Paradise, on it he was expelled from it. And the last hour will take place on no day other than Friday.
The Book of Prayer - Friday
Sahih Muslim 854 b
Exposition of the Hadith
Verily, the day of Jumu'ah (Friday) possesses immense virtue and distinction over all other days of the week. The Prophet (ﷺ) informed us that it is the most excellent day upon which the sun rises, for it is associated with momentous events in the divine decree.
On this day, Allah created Adam, the father of mankind, from clay and breathed into him His spirit. On it, he was admitted into Paradise as his initial abode. And on it, due to his lapse, he was descended to the earth. Furthermore, the establishment of the Final Hour—the Day of Judgment—will occur on a Friday.
This narration compels the believer to honour Friday through increased worship, seeking the hour of accepted supplication, reciting Surah Al-Kahf, and sending abundant prayers upon the Prophet (ﷺ). It is a day of congregation, reflection, and drawing nearer to the Almighty.
