Arabic hadith text
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، . أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَيَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ بِـ { سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى} وَفِي الصُّبْحِ بِأَطْوَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ .
Translation
Jabir b. Samura reported
The Apostle of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in the noon prayer:" Glorify the name of thy Most High Lord in the morning prayer longer than this" (lxxxvii.)
