Harmalah ibn Yahya al-Tujibi narrated to us; Abd Allah ibn Wahb informed us; Haywah informed me; Ibn al-Had narrated to me, from Abu Bakr ibn Hazm, from Amrah—that is, daughter of Abd al-Rahman—from Aishah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah said: Aishah, Allah is gentle and loves gentleness, and He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness or for anything else.
