Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُثْمَانَ - عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَحِلُّ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ " .
Translation
Muhammad ibn Rafi narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Abi Fudayk narrated to us; al-Dahhak, that is, Ibn Uthman, informed us, from Nafi, from Abd Allah ibn Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not lawful for a believer to shun his brother for more than three days.
