Zakat is forbidden for the messenger of Allah pbuh and his family, and they are Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, and no one else
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ، أَبِي عَدِيٍّ كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ كَمَا قَالَ ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ " أَنَّا لاَ، نَأْكُلُ الصَّدَقَةَ "
Translation
This very hadith has been narrated on the authority of Sbu'ba with the same chain of transmitters.
