The Place Where One Should Hasten
Arabic hadith text
أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرٌ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلمنَزَلَ - يَعْنِي - عَنِ الصَّفَا حَتَّى إِذَا انْصَبَّتْ قَدَمَاهُ فِي الْوَادِي رَمَلَ حَتَّى إِذَا صَعِدَ مَشَى .
Translation
Jabir narrated that
the Messenger of Allah came down from As-Safa until he reached level round in the valley, then he hastened (Ramel) until (the ground) rouse, then he walked.
