Translation

Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-A‘la narrated to us—in his narration from Khalid ibn al-Harith. He said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from Qatadah, who said: I heard Musa—namely, Ibn Salamah—say: I asked Ibn ‘Abbas, “How should I pray in Makkah if I do not pray in congregation?” He said: “Two rak‘ahs, the practice of Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).”
