عن عمر بن الخطاب رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏"‏ لا تلبسوا الحرير؛ فإن من لبسه في الدنيا لم يلبسه في الآخرة‏"‏ ‏.‏((متفق عليه))

Hudhaifah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported

The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited us from eating or drinking from gold or silver utensils and from wearing silk and brocade, or sitting on (anything made from) them.[Al-Bukhari].
