Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us; he said: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from ‘Amr ibn Murrah, from Murrah al-Hamdani, from Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: ‘The excellence of ‘A’ishah over women is like the excellence of tharid over all other food.’
