حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ وَقَّتَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي قَصِّ الشَّارِبِ وَتَقْلِيمِ الأَظْفَارِ وَحَلْقِ الْعَانَةِ وَنَتْفِ الإِبْطِ أَنْ لاَ نَتْرُكَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا . قَالَ هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الأَوَّلِ . وَصَدَقَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى لَيْسَ عِنْدَهُمْ بِالْحَافِظِ .

Anas ibn Malik reported: Allah’s Messenger set a limit for us regarding trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, shaving the pubic hair, and plucking the armpit hair: we should not leave these for more than forty days.
He said: This is more authentic than the previous hadith. Sadaqah ibn Musa was not considered a strong memorizer by the scholars.
