‘Ali ibn Hujr reported: Isma‘il ibn Ibrahim narrated from al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadr, from al-Tufawi, from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet, a report similar in meaning to the preceding hadith. Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan hadith, except that al-Tufawi is known to us only through this hadith, and we do not know his name. The hadith of Isma‘il ibn Ibrahim is more complete and longer.

This alternate route passes through al-Tufawi, whose personal name is unknown; the compiler says Isma‘il ibn Ibrahim’s version contains more detail.
