حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُبَاشِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ الْمَرْأَةَ حَتَّى تَصِفَهَا لِزَوْجِهَا كَأَنَّمَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

‘Abd Allah reported that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘A woman should not be in close physical contact with another woman and then describe her to her husband as though he were looking at her.’
Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic uses tabashiru, literally to be in direct bodily contact, followed by the warning against describing another woman to one’s husband as if he could see her. The translation preserves both parts of the wording.
