Abu Hurayrah reported that Allah’s Messenger said: ‘The person whose advice is sought is entrusted with confidence.’
Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan hadith. More than one transmitter narrated it from Shayban ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman al-Nahwi. Shayban was a scholar who compiled a book, had sound hadith, and was known by the kunyah Abu Mu‘awiyah. ‘Abd al-Jabbar ibn al-‘Ala’ al-‘Attar reported from Sufyan ibn ‘Uyaynah, who said that ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr said: ‘When I narrate a hadith, I do not leave out a single letter.’
