وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، قَالَ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ قَالَ " ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي " . حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَكِلاَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ صَحِيحٌ .

More than one transmitter narrated this hadith from Yahya ibn Sa‘id, from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, from Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas, who said: ‘On the day of Uhud, Allah’s Messenger invoked both his parents for me, saying, “Shoot! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!”’ Qutaybah reported this through al-Layth ibn Sa‘d and ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Muhammad, from Yahya ibn Sa‘id, from Sa‘id ibn al-Musayyab, from Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas, who said that the Messenger of Allah invoked both his parents for him on the day of Uhud.
This is a hasan sahih hadith, and both reports are authentic.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
This version is transmitted directly from Sa‘d ibn Abi Waqqas and explicitly repeats the words ‘Shoot! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you!’ The compiler states that both related reports are authentic.
