What Has Been Related About It Being Disliked To Use Both The Name Of The Prophet (SAW) And His Kunyah Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2842
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا سَمَّيْتُمْ بِاسْمِي فَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِي " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
Translation
Narrated Jabir
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "When you name yourself after me, then do not use my Kunyah."
