What Has Been Related About It Being Disliked To Use Both The Name Of The Prophet (SAW) And His Kunyah
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا سَمَّيْتُمْ بِاسْمِي فَلاَ تَكْتَنُوا بِي " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
Translation
Narrated Jabir
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ): "When you name yourself after me, then do not use my Kunyah."
