Jabir reported that the Messenger of Allah forbade a man from sleeping on a rooftop that had no protective barrier.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The barrier prevents someone from rolling off and falling; this explanation is explicit in the English witness. Abu ‘Isa said this is a gharib report, known from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir from Jabir only through this route, and that ‘Abd al-Jabbar ibn ‘Umar al-Ayli is considered weak.
