Ahmad ibn Muhammad informed us: ‘Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, from Abu Bakr al-Nahshali, from Marzuq Abu Bakr al-Taymi, from Umm al-Darda’, from Abu al-Darda’, from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: “Whoever defends his brother’s honor, Allah will shield his face from the Fire on the Day of Resurrection.”
There is also a report on this topic from Asma’ bint Yazid. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan.

Should ‘defends his brother’s honor’ be used for رد عن عرض أخيه?
قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ .
The witness omits the related report from Asma’ bint Yazid and the hasan grade.
Should both compiler notes be retained?
